Amali means hope.

Nearly a decade ago, I moved to Zanzibar and began a new chapter of my life. What started as a small dream slowly grew into a shop filled with things I loved — handmade pieces, meaningful gifts, and products created with care.

Over the years, that journey evolved, and so did I.

Amali was born from a desire to begin again. To create a space that feels more intentional, more personal, and more connected to the people and stories behind the things we make and sell.

Today, Amali is a celebration of craftsmanship, creativity, and community. We work with local artisans and makers to create products inspired by the beauty of Zanzibar — from handmade soaps and jewellery to clothing, homewares and thoughtful gifts.

Every item carries a story. Every purchase supports real people, real skills, and the preservation of traditional craftsmanship.
